I invited Sarie Taylor to join The YES Button online community Zoom session to talk about what it really means to thrive instead of survive. The mission that night was to wake women up, and to help them step off autopilot and reconnect with themselves. I knew Sarie would be perfect because she’s the definition of strength and authenticity. She’s navigating her own cancer journey while supporting others through their mental health battles, and she brings this honesty that cuts straight through the noise.
She spoke with such emotion, humour, and depth. Her story resonated with every woman in that Zoom room. The feedback afterwards was incredible: so many said that hearing Sarie share her journey helped them feel less overwhelmed and more grounded again. One of her analogies - about the survival of a little turtle, really stuck with people. It was a beautiful reminder of how miraculous it is that any of us are even here at all.
What makes Sarie special is how she turns vulnerability into power. She doesn’t just talk about thriving, she shows you how to do it - giving you the tools and the permission to be human. If you’re looking for someone to give you that loving slap-in-the-face wake-up call you didn’t know you needed, this is it.
