Exploring The Three Principles with Sarie Taylor

How do you get to know yourself better?

People often talk to me about getting to know themselves better, in the hope that this will bring them more peace of mind.

Here's the thing, getting to know yourself better really might bring more peace of mind BUT it is even simpler than that.

My peace of mind, ability to feel love for myself and others, patience and compassion for myself, came from understanding human nature better. It came from understanding how human nature works, the simplicity and the beauty of it, and therefore by default understanding myself more.

When we start on a mission to get to know ourselves we may find ourselves getting caught up in our limited beliefs, wanting to understand the ‘why’ and almost reaffirming our beliefs and stories about ourselves.

Yet when we take the time to understand the truth behind human nature itself, we can start to make sense of our day to day experience, reducing fear and therefore accessing more calm and peace of mind.

I want to share a few things that I learnt about human nature in general that reality helped me (and if you want to learn more why not take a look at my 3 day mini course ‘Understanding Me’).

1. We all have the gift of thought, and it is through these thoughts that we experience our own personal reality of the world moment to moment.

2. Our level of consciousness, state of mind and mood will effect the quality of our thoughts and the pull we feel to believe thoughts to be true when they are not. thoughts are just thoughts.

3. We are survivors by nature and our mind and body are ALWAYS working in our favour, even when we feel discomfort of some kind, the body is alerting us to something it wants us to see.

I would love to know your thoughts on any of those points plus share any others you may have found useful for yourself so far in your exploration of what it means to be human!

Are we overcomplicating mental health?

The continuous spiral of talking about mental illness and neglecting to discuss mental health that’s within us all!

Finding herself in a mental hospital for a month aged 22, her worst fears of going crazy had come true! Sarie truly believed she was broken for many years, and now sees that this was in part due to massively over complicating what it meant be a human being. After a long period of exploring and training as a psychotherapist, still burning out every 18 months for another ten years, Sarie finally found the answer, and now shares the surprising simplicity of it all to help others get the same relief.

Sarie has trained as a transactional analysis psychotherapist, as well as working and training in many other therapeutic disciplines, such as NLP, CBT, DBT and hypnotherapy. Sarie is also an author, celebrity coach and therapist, working with thousands of people a year, of all ages, all over the world. Her main aim is to help them really see the simplicity and beauty behind human nature, getting out of their heads and into their lives, being able to see that the inside out nature of life really is a gift. This removes limitations and stories they may hold about themselves, and as a result finding an ease and contentment in life they often never knew was possible.
